C&M Legal Search was managing incentives manually on spreadsheets. With in-built complexity and a 2-week payout cycle that includes clawback and placement fee split, it was time-consuming to process commissions every cycle.

Here's what troubled them the most:
Plans have multiple components - deductible signing bonuses from commissionable amount, team-based and individual revenue targets, payouts based on clients being invoiced, clawbacks if the candidate leaves, etc.
Recruiters earn commissions on placements but are paid only once the clients are billed. Placement data is in the CRM, while billing data is in the invoicing system. Most vendors couldn’t reconcile these two systems to automate commissions.
Commissions are paid out when C&M invoices are paid. If the client claimed the invoice refund, commissions also had to be adjusted for the next cycle. It was complex and time-consuming to manage this manually.
C&M Legal Search could own either client-side or candidate-side or both. Placement fees paid to C&M Legal Search depend on how much of the process is being owned. Tracking it manually was time-consuming.
